Continuing Medical Education (CME) Requirements

Wisconsin requires physicians to complete at least 30 hours of acceptable continuing medical educational (CME) programs within the biennial registration period.  For details, please download the DSPS Continuing Medical Education Requirements

Physicians are also required to completed 2.0 credits (hours) of state-approved CME on opioid prescribing practices.  Download a list of the DSPS List of Approved Opioid CME Courses.  In addition, the WAOPS offers 2.0 credits (hours) annually during one of its CME conferences upon approval through the state's opioid course approval process.
